Starting in November 2005, we are pleased to offer Childbirth Education. These classes are not defined by any "method" or "theory" rather they are reality based lessons.

Everything you need to know from the week before labor starts to bringing home your new little one (or ones!), our classes cover it all. While natural childbirth is the main focus of the course, there will be thorough discussion of medicated births as well.

There are two options we offer to parents: Small Group and Private Classes.

The Small Group Session is one Saturday from morning until early afternoon; class size is limited to 5 moms. Small Group is a great environment to learn in. There is no cold auditorium and folding chairs to contend with. The benefit to limiting the class size and it being in a home environment is the personalization and having the ability to get all your questions answered or addressed. Meals and beverages are included in the tuition. The cost is $50 per mom and one support person (dad-to-be, partner, friend...).

The Private Class is perfect for those parents who are looking to learn in their own home versus the hospital or Small Group Session. The attention is more directly focused to your needs and concerns. The instructor requests that no one else be in the home, except birth support people and requests children under 10 be under care outside the home. The tuition for private instruction is $75 per household.
